POWER - Modern Slavery Act - fashion buying as a lever for change

Can modern slavery ever be eliminated from the fashion industry?

This Centre for Sustainable Fashion event explores the influence of The Modern Slavery Act on Better Lives in the fashion industry through a focus on the role of fashion buying.

Led by Professor Dilys Williams, Baroness Lola Young, and facilitated by Liz Parker, co-founder of By the Fire with an exciting panel representing NGOs and industry, this event will bring together fashion buyers, parliamentarians, educators, graduates, students and others for a guided discussion exploring the role of fashion buying in eliminating modern slavery from the fashion industry.

Together we will inform a better understanding of the contribution of the Modern Slavery Act and other elements influencing change towards a socially sustainable fashion industry.
